On the other hand, I would like to point out that when it comes to status effects, some are better suited for high hit rate and some are better off with relatively low hit rate and stronger attacks. Mess around and find out! I am not telling which ones are which🤣
If you pull the fish quick enough, you get a perfect catch, which lets you catch better fish for more resources. Don’t think the game ever tells you this
so something about boons you've not had a chance to really experience, the gods do offer replacements, with the highest odds of this being once you fill all the slots, as in for the attack, special etc. and the replacements will often be of higher rarity, which in turn means, of greater power as well, this is more or less the only way to get Heroic rarity boons, so in a run, it is advised to just fill the slots and replacement them with something better later

Not to be that guy, but Ares's boons aren't great for attacks since they aren't boosing attack damage, at least not directly. Which is probably why you struggled with damage on the gun weapon.
1:38:30 so, that was actually Hermes's dodge rather than deflection. The Plume is a pretty good item, though it kinda goes against the keepsake philosophy of the game, much like that pinned butterfly you got there. The game implies you should switch your keepsakes between floors, but plume's bonus to speed and dodge is gone the moment you put it away. So if you want to use it, i advise prioritizing playing quickly rather than carefully, and to keep in mind you're pretty much shackled to the plume for the rest of the run. It can bring some pretty good results, especially when paired with Hermes's dodge and attack-for-speed boon.

A quick note on Minotaur's charge attack: the best way to dodge it is to dash through him, because when you dash you are invulnerable, so you will go right through him and he will run into a wall.
God relics are pretty important for putting together specific builds. If you get slicing shot or a non-cast artemis boon, try putting on the other keepsake and see if you can get hunting blades.
