  1. The only thing I hate about the “Hades is the bad guy” trope is that he wasn’t actually the bad guy. He loved his brother Zeus and he loved the underworld. He presided over the titans in Tartarus to protect the other gods. If he truly hated him, he would have simply unleashed them without any resistance. But because his loyalty to his brother was so strong, he never did. Ares fit this bill because of his love for conflict and domination. Even Kakia the goddess of vice and moral evil and abominations fit this more appropriately. Erebus, the god of shadows and darkness. Apate the goddess of deceit. It just blows my mind, Hollywood is fixated on Hades being the bad guy just because he deals with “hell”. Zeus gave him an awesome puppy for crying out-loud. Not to mention his wife, albeit not a very good one, was who he wanted. Zeus effectively made him a ruler of all things in the afterlife. Truly gave Hades everything he could have wanted or aspired to have. Just my 2¢

  2. I hate that Hades keeps getting portrayed as evil by Hollywood. He was a faithful husband(very much unlike his brothers) who was dedicated to doing the job he was given(judging souls and sending them to, and keeping them in, the proper parts of the underworld). He wasn't even the god of death (that was Thanotos), just the underworld.
