40 heat woohoo! JP you are really climbing up there! I hope to one day beat zero heat and unlock all the weapons. Grinding the darkness and keys takes awhile.
I have a question about those legendary keepsakes that can be unlocked. Do they recharge or is it a one time use?
Concerning the "tooth vs collar" argument, I think the tooth us ggenerally better. HOWEVER if you got through asphodel and dtill have 3 DDs, you might put on collar for elysium, maybe save one of your DDs that way and then put on tooth for styx. That might be optimal, but on 40 Heat i'm not sure if that applies, as I'm not even clise to beating that 😀
Tooth: 100HP one time
Collar: 50HP always + (25HP x 3 Death Defiance) = 125HP AND increases the threshold in your favor for when skills like Positive Outlook and After Party pop.
It might feel like tooth is better because of how gratifying it is to see such a big boost when you need it, but collar is mathematically superior and does more good for you, even if you don’t notice it all at once.
So am I missing something with the losing a DD on purpose? You did it a couple times, what's that for?
