A cover of “God of the Dead”, as well as including some parts from the track “The Unseen Ones” from the video game Hades.
Hades has a fantastic soundtrack, so you can definitely expect more Hades covers in the future, but for now I never thought I’d actually attempt this behemoth of a song, but here we are!
I was initially hesitant on tackling this tune, not because of it’s length (though it was intimidating!) but because I wasn’t sure how to put my own spin on it. I decided to make this more of a test of my abilities at production/mixing and learning those crazy leads! I also decided to change the first part of the song so it’s fully acoustic, so when the heavy section kicks in, it packs a bigger punch! And to switch things up even more, I decided to improvise a solo during the final section of a song, just to experiment with something new, and I think it turned out okay!
This one was definitely a challenge, so I hope you enjoy this one!
