polyphemus is arguably the hardest part of any surface run, i despise him. his music is great though
Zag later learnin all he needed to go see his mum was some fookin grass.
Them witches, man. They be cookin 🙂
Oookay, I'm really glad they're leaning into the Odyssey side of things this game. Scylla, Charybdis, the big man himself, and now Polyphemus? Makes my mythology nerd heart happy, since The Odyssey has a special place in it.
the surface is a bit tougher than the underworld, but im sure youll make it the end on your next run :_))
Odysseus and that Cyclops have a bit of a history, but I doubt he'll be in a hurry to bring it up since that was back when he was nobody.
I don't know why this boss is so amusing to me. He just sounds like a stereotypical Boston mobster to me and the image that creates makes me laugh 😆
Fun fact about Polyphemus, the blind cyclops. Take a good look at his color palette. Then compare him to the Olympian gods. A hint, the one you wanna check is one of the "big three" so to speak.
I just noticed Eris is holding the adamant rail, that's a nice nod to the first game.
Selene: "little star"
Me: whimpering gay noises intensify🥺
Eris just doesn't have loyalty to anyone which is what give others big pause about involving her in their business. She likes to "play" on the battleground and the rest doesn't concerns her. I think, she has certain traits of Joker and Bellatrix Lestrange in her, but I wouldn't call her 100% evil character either, she's just carefree about current events. She values anarchy and freedom the most.
Just a small tip: if you destroy pylons first and then quickly attack the enemies, then free shadows will crush them completely (at least a few enemies from first wave).
I like how Polyphemus is using a sheperd's scepter as a toothpick, nice details.
I understand not wanting to spend resources on the Power to Pause and Reflect spell, since it won't be very useful, but maybe later on when there's some spare ingredients that can be spent, it would be a fun spell. It gives Chronos some extra dialogue and it's always fun to annoy him.
I find it funny that Polyphemus drew a false eye on his blindfold. It's kinda cute tbh, but the guy clearly hasn't learned any manners since he met Odysseus.
The gods would by all accounts be able to pull themselves back together. They're all deathless*, so it wouldn't kill them. Zeus in particular had all of his tendons ripped out by Typhon once, but made a full recovery after he was brought back together.
*there are a small handful instances in which gods die, but those are the exception, not the rule. And usually they're minor gods. The Olympians would never.
Those Bronzebeaks must be the Stymphalian Birds that Herakles had to kill for one of his labors. Clearly he didn't get them all.
am i crazy or does Polyphemus have a lil bit of an accent
