Darkness-Free run (no Darkness in Mirror of Night)
Stygian Blade (Stygius), Aspect 3 (Aspect of Poseidon)
So, of the weapons I hadn’t gotten a Darkness-Free win with yet… Darker Thirst landed on the Fists next. But unfortunately, that run didn’t go so well (ended at Elysium Boss battle). =/ Then it landed on the Blade… and Zag managed to get the win! =) But unfortunately, the game decided to send Zag three mid-level Fountains along the way… and instead of “Darkness-Free”, Zag ended up with the “Fountain Finder Award” win message. =p
A couple runs later, though, Darker Thirst landed on the Blade again… and this run happened. =)
So, here it is… it’s kind of my second ever, but technically my first ever “100% Darkness-Free” Stygian Blade win… hope you enjoy!
Some quick notes on the strategy I used:
– The basic priority order for Keepsakes I used was: Poseidon, Athena, Dionysus, Skelly.
– The specific Boons I tended to prioritize were:
* Poseidon: Flood Shot, Poseidon’s Aid, Razor Shoals
* Athena: Divine Dash, Bronze Skin
* Hermes: Greatest Reflex, Auto Reload
* Dionysus: Strong Drink, Positive Outlook, Premium Vintage
* Chaos: +1 bloodstone, max life

– [With no Darkness in the Mirror, I think(?) the only Talent selections that can affect the run are Infernal/Stygian Soul and Fated Authority/Persuasion.]
0:16 Keepsakes – Companion Shady, Conch Shell (Poseidon)
– The amusement(?) value of using Poseidon’s Cast with Poseidon’s Aspect got me thinking about Flood Shot… which then got me thinking that, with only 1 bloodstone, both the splash damage (offense) and enemy knockback (defense) could actually end up being fairly useful, so… ^_^
