  1. Hot flash is strong with freeze burner because it stores all your burn damage that your losing over the time you take to build burn. something that is weird is that Raki and critical chance does apparently work with burn. burn daggers are used because daggers #1 problem is clear. the boon in which you apply burn where enemies explode fixes a lot of daggers mob clear issues.

  2. The problem with heph and hestia is that exactly the point that they are the only thing not synergizing with other dps sources.

Even with don you can still roid your dps with attack speed upgrades. Heph and hestia have a fixed upper bound on dps defined on pyro technique assuming enough scortch output and grand caldera multiplied by cooldown on attack boons.

Every other possible damage upgrade is either a global dmg up which stacks multiplicatively so from better starting damage source you get even better bonuses, or from duo boons.

You can't just pick hestia/heph attacks and roll with it cumulatively benefitting from other damage ups throughout the run. Unless you specifically build for them you don't benefit and that feels really bad.

  3. Just the fact that none of his main boons (atk, special, cast, sprint, gain) are particularly interesting or desirable makes me think that he would have been much more suited to be an event god like Dionysus and such.

  4. 11:56 I've done the math on stream and I'll do it again right now, the math you wanna look at is the Choose Function. There's 8 gods that can give duos (so no Artemis, Athena, or Dio) and if you want trios, you choose 3 of them. 8C3 (aka 8Choose3) = 56, like Dan remembered correctly. The choose function makes it so that "order doesn't matter" in the way that Zeus, Hera, Poseidon should be counted as the same Trio boon as Poseidon, Zeus, Hera.

  5. i would say that the backstab actually helps scorch more than if you were using aphro or whatever, since the +150% only applies to the blades' base power rather than calculating with the % boon included. so proportionally, it is making a bigger difference to the attack damage compared to an attack boon that already gives you 80% or whatever. if you see what i mean

  6. love the idea of multiple legendaries. i'd love something like being able to stack heph vents, so instead of resetting the timer if you hit them with a blast before it's up, it just adds another timer and they can go off sequentially, so if you have a cooldown under 5s you can monster bosses with vent

  7. The only trio boon I want is a Hephaestus/Aphrodite/Ares duo boon called like Love Triangle. This is the only time Ares shows up and he has insane art but only 1 voice line and he’s never heard from again

  8. More boons could mean:
    1. More boons from NPCs like echo, narcissus, Icarus etc
    2. More boons from event gods like Dio, Artemis and Athena
    3. More core god boons – We don't have tier 2 cast boons for Zeus, Aphrodite, Hestia and Heph yet. They could also add more Tier 2 boons too (bad for planned runs, good for variety)
    4. Ares- Had a wild idea that if they don't wanna make Ares a core God, they could make him unique by making all the Ares boons as Duo boons with the other gods. That could be fun too.
    5. More selene boons/Hexes
    6. Don't forget Bouldy. 😊

  9. More boon ideas:
    – all gods get boons that affect the hex
    – infusion duos
    – alternative resource hex, e.g. imagine Ares gave you a hex that was charged by taking or dealing damage rather than spending magic
    – defeated bosses give you a boon in addition to their resource
    – boons that empower your familiar, e.g. your familiar inflicts the god specific curse on foes

  10. I've played a lot of Hades II already (close to 150 hours) and I think I've never seen a room like this at 28:00
am I the only one that saw that or is it a normal thing and I just have dementia ?

  11. Trio boons could work if the gods have to be thematically similar in one way or another. Eg, if hades had regularly obtainable boons, a trio boon between hades, zeus, and poseidon would make sense. We could do hestia, hera, and demeter (daughters of chronos), maybe zeus, poseidon, and demeter (weather/natural world), apollo, hestia, and hephestus (fire/heat?), hera, aphrodite, and hestia (something to do with love and the home idunno). Stuff like that.
