Welcome to today’s God of War challenge where i commentate over my gameplay of a challenge run in God of War.
Today’s game is God of War 3 and the challenge run is a mixture of two runs. No Grab Run+ and No Upgrade Run+.

Here are the rules for both of the challenges:
No Upgrade Run+ Rules:
-Hardest Difficulty
-No Upgrades
-No Meter Extension
.
No Grab Run+ Rules:
-No Grabs of any sort
-No False Grabs (grabbing an enemy that you can’t grab)
-No Grab Reversals (escaping enemy grabs)

God of War 3 has a special case for grabs and it’s the Combat Grapple (L1 + O). This move is NOT allowed in No Grab Run+.

  7. Never done a challenge run before, just for fun decided to do one in gow 2 where I can’t upgrade anything other than the blades. It’s also my first time trying the titan difficulty on that game so it’s more challenging for me. If I can get through it (I’m right before meeting Atlas right now), I’ll do another one (proper no upgrade run)

    7:35 The big change for NGR+ NUR+. Pretty sure it is death sentence for NGR+ and higher (as the thing kills outright if you don't reverse, but you're not allowed to escape even though this does 0DMG to him).

    How many times do I need to clarify I like them, but recognize they are shit (low tier)? Mediocre. Do I need to go over the whole thing again (with Arty for comparison as its fellow worst).

    You will want to remember for the future that you should only cast UA with SS once while doing other attacks (preferably using your beloved Item of choice). Maybe a quick Curse or air t1 session. Really shouldn't take much more than this to get to a given stagger (where he will stop taking DMG).

    12:46 With your remaining MP going into this, you could have been at this point much faster. Not enough MP for this final breakpoint, however. Four in total (last being for "O").

  23. Nice work! For Hades three-hit string in his second phase he always starts his attack from his right hand, so always prefer evading or air blocking (that option is safer) towards that side, because there is a chance you get hit if you go the other way.
