This actually looks really nice!!
This looks interesting but it just looks like a mishmash of Dead Cells, Slay the Spire and Hades. It's not really doing anything unique except combining them. I wonder if that's going to be enough…
Thanks for playing this – I'm not sure I'm a fan of the small arenas they have you fight in. I would have preferred them to include elements of exploration
Frost dash? I think you mean granny's front farts
You played this games demo like a year ago the game used to be called from the brink
Appreciate the indie game stuff you do, you and splattercat have introduced me to a good dozen indie titles in the past two months
This one looks quite good and, to me anyway, seems a lot more accessible than Hades. I don't mind these kinds of games, in general they aren't for me, but Hades in particular just seemed SO grindy. I like that, as you said, this gets into what makes these games enjoyable to play very fast. You feel significant progression every single run and I do like that, versus needing to grind through 10 failed attempts or actually defeat a boss in order to feel like you've accomplished anything.
it is like hades but more yeeting of enemies
Not in love with the design of the playable character, but the bosses all look great so far.
Hmm. Don't look now, but that dragon looks an awful like a fire-bird.
Actually, you might want to look… :p
The game looks very promising so far. I am looking forwards to what they'll do with it in the future.
Anyway, good video.
I think the "dragon" is actually a phoenix just looking at it during the blessings screen
Hades, but a platformer… sounds more like Dead Cells. Doesn't help that their protagonist basically looks like Dead Cells' protagonist.
The flow and art style is very charming
