Hades – How to get food as a chamber reward

Here’s how to get a food reward: first, the initial spawn has to be the hammer with a Chaos Gate. Then, that Chaos Gate must have 3 exits and they have to be blue laurels. Then, you have to re-roll one of those exits with Fated Authority.
Explanation:
There are only 4 possible rewards in blue laurel rooms: Gemstones, Cthonic Keys, Darkness and Nectar. Since you don’t have any Boons because you started with the Daedalus hammer, you cannot get offered Nectar due to the Contractor upgrade that makes Nectars level up one of your Boons. Also, when you re-roll a door, you can’t get the same reward twice in a row, and you can’t get the same reward that another door already has (Erebus Gates are the exception; I’ve seen them have the same reward as the door ahead). So, when you try to re-roll one of the three blue laurel gates, the game doesn’t know what to offer you, since it can’t give you the same reward you just re-rolled out of, and it also can’t give you any Nectars, so I guess that triggers a failsafe that makes it spawn food. If you re-roll one of the other doors, it will roll into the reward you rolled out of on the first door, and now you can re-roll the first door back into the reward that the second door had. If you re-roll any of the doors again, you get food again.
