This is a needed video. Hades is an awesome game, Wizard of Legend status for sure. Very deep game and meta and worth a watch, at least once.

Video is very helpful, but if possible, put face cam bottom right so you are not covering the description of the keepsake. Other than that great video, subscribed.
The way I looked at Skull Earrings is this.
Unless you're trying to complete the run quickly, dealing extra damage is merely a means of ending boss fights more quickly so they have fewer chances to hit you. If you have more than 30% health, then you're not dealing as much damage and at higher risk of getting hit but you're doing alright. When you drop below 30% health, you start dealing more damage and decreasing the length of the boss fight.
It's great for players who aren't hit very often – because those players can stay within the 30% for an extended period of time. For players who are hit often, there are much better items for survivability.
