Hades Review

Hadesโ€™ quick and reactive combat combined with unique and intricate storytelling sets it apart from other roguelikes.

  1. Capturing on Switch is a weird choice for a review, still a nice vid.
I think it's a really fun game, the combat is super tight and the end game challenge you in a smart way. I'm not a fan of mythology, especially greek, and most of the dialogue were a bit cheesy and generic (pretty solid voice acting though). But as someone who loves rogue like progression, Hades does it in a brilliant way.

  2. so i didnt know anything about this game – i saw it on epic store and went on youtube to look at gameplay. One second was all it took -as soon as i saw the art on the isometric plane i said out loud "holy shit" and i had to know more. I am very dismissive of games as Im older and played a lot, and also i dont want to play "an ok'" game. This review sealed it, game looks great. Now watch dogs legion i couldnt make it more than 30 seconds.. 0 exitement feels like seen it all before. (probably in a game called GTA)

  3. Worse gameplay I've seen in a while.

Forcing players to die in order to grind stuff so they can advance is a hideous mechanic that means skill and ability level are useless. You don't have to learn the game, just try over and over.

As good as the art direction is, this should have been a TV show, because it's not a game; it's an effin chore.
