An interesting build I chanced upon in Supergiant’s fantastic new game Hades.
The build is based around the Shield of Chaos with the Aspect of Zeus. When combined with Athena’s Divine Flourish your Special attack does more damage and can deflect. By throwing the disc out and recalling it you can kite the Blitz Disc around the encounter as long as you stay a dash ahead of it. To get the most dps one can dash attack through enemies to deal damage whilst having the blitz disc deflect all incoming damage!
I was able to add a handful of Zeus and Ares boons which allowed me to deal multiple hits by casting doom upon attack while gaining extra damage from Zeus’ lightning effects on my dash boon. These combined with the Divine Flourish on my blitz disc created a playstyle that keeps you moving from target to target.
This build got me my first clear ever in the game and Ive got to say it feels VERY powerful! The only downsides to depending upon the Aspect of Zeus’ special attack would be that controlling the blitz disc in small encounters isnt always so simple and that the dps might not be high enough solely relying upon deflect and only deflect. That said, Athena has some of the best boons in the game imo!
