probably going to be the longest playthrough this channel going to have, and i love it
Me: Go Max, you can do it!
Max: dashes onto spikes
Me: Or that.
I have seen using sword, with athena and aries takes you thru the rest of the game. Beating the game is just scratching the surface
stop going chaos
request sir
You notice how this video has less than half the views of your others? Never ever post another 5 hour video again what on EARTH
Gotta love the poetic justice of having a decent run, selling epic level damage resistance, and then immediately dying in the next room lol.
Max: Nice!
Me: But you only picked up 68 health from the trove!
attacking while dashing removes you invincibility frames
For those wondering because I was, Thanatos appears at 1:56:00
Dude! Even after 5 hours I want to watch more!!!
I need more of this! keep it coming, I can't believe I watched the hole thing
You gotta be more patient with the health regen boon. Like when those two rats were across the chasm, let them stay over there and heal up. When you were up against Hades? Just chill behind a pillar for a bit, keep it between you and him.
…I think Dusa likes Zagreus.
You can stand inside of hades while he is using his tri beam attack on the 2nd round
Really enjoying this series. Hope there are more parts to come 🙂
"the bow is the weapon of the coward boy, I said so even to Hera's face. I'm unsurprised that you are drawn to it and yet… something has changed about it, I can tell"
2:47:17 – I like how Zagreus didn't spoke his "Wait you're not the champion?" line because Max already fought Theseus by this point.
Is it just me, or is Max’s stream so chill sometimes, like you can lay back if you’re not feeling good and put on Max’s stream and relax and feel great
Love the Hades content!
Trip shot sucks so much especially with that bow at the end. You can't select your target very well and that excess damage from the other two arrows misses and is wasted more than it does anything. Twin shot is a fucking nuke!
Where's part 3?
I be honest, I spent 85 hours on hades with fight stick from start to finish … So much fun
….Max thinking that dashing into a hydra smashing into the ground: Ima be okay
Hydra: Aight bet. crush and kills
Max lemme do it again..
i was so hype when he went down to 5 max health so sick
The shield is one of the BEST weapons.
So this games plays really well on an arcade stick
1:57:15
Yep, that's the gist of the Thanatos-Zagreus relationship.
That feeling when you're watching from the future and watching the chat actively do Max dirty.
I don’t know who you have been talking to Max but the shield is a great weapon.
Ares' passive skill that lets you proc doom on attack WOULD be very cool IF you're confident you'll run into his boon again and get a passive skill that lets you stack doom multiple times. Especially on Malphon
I was thinking that Hades reminds me of Bastion…then I saw it was made by SuperGiant
Diablo… but with the difficulty of Dark Souls on Very Hard
Man, I love what a power-bottom Than is. Such a salty little lover.
Interesting seeing Max figure out his preference in weapons. Personally the bow and arrow are my least favorite weapon while the fists were my favorite
This is hella dope. Max with the roguelite action. Hope he goes through some prior titles in this genre, but if not that's alright too
Just wait to you can add modifiers to the escapes. Bosses with new attacks adds so much to the runs for me.
Sorry I'm new here. What does the "Sunny D" reference mean?
Besides the drink.
I REEEE'ED just a little bit when his chat told him ares special is better than ares attack for fists.
1- ares attack opens up the avenue of going for the merciful end GOD-TIER duo boon and athena was already in his god pool.
2- ares attack with dash strikes allows you to very quickly apply doom to huge swathes of enemies.
3- there exists a boon for ares which allows your doom to stack for more damage.
ares attack on fists is god-tier. Arguably the best attack boon for fists next to zeus.
ANOTHER misconception from the chat: You can buy a second death defiance, 2 is better. You can argue which is better all day, but the extra use is just that an EXTRA use, it doesn't count as one of your 2, it would put him at 3 total death defiances, all of which he could restore either via athena or well of charon.
edit: "these are all bad", epic sweet surrender….REEEEEEEEE…bad chat, BAD CHAT
man, im the exact opposite of Max, i dont like the ranged weapons, the fists are my favorite weapons in the game, and then the sword, the shield aint terrible either. The spear is awesome as well though i hate its special. 😀
Thanatos Appears
Dood: “This guy wants to f———“
Me: 😐
Demeter + Athena = Best Duo
Max lets go of the attack button when dodging with the Adamant Rail. It hurts my soul. I'm also genuinely surprised nobody told him how busted Aspect of Hestia is when he was first looking at stuff.
I watch Max's videos solely for the intro
I love Chaos, so perfectly neutral.
If you like roguelikes, have you ever heard of Nova Drift and Slay the Spire?
The first is an Asteroids-like roguelike game where you pilot a small bioship around the screen, fighting waves of enemies, gaining XP and levels, and evolving your ship into ever-crazier configurations using mods you choose from a random selection at each level. You can earn rerolls, of course, and the waves of enemies come faster and stronger as you go. You can get some REALLY crazy combos going if you experiment a bit. It's surprisingly well-polished, despite still technically being in pre-release. It was also made from the ground up by one man (plus the composer for the music). It's very fun. I play it almost every day, and I'm still finding new ways to play.
The second is a Collectible Card Game/RPG roguelike. You have a deck of cards you can play using a limited pool of energy you have available each turn to attack and defend against enemies with, and you use offensive, defensive, and utility cards to progress. It's really difficult, especially at later levels, but that just encourages crazier combos that you build into your deck using cards you earn throughout the game. It has a VERY 80s-fantasy-movie-esque aesthetic, and it's quite cleverly put together. I play this quite often, as well.
If you're in the mood for a roguelike arcade space-shooter or CCG/RPG, feel free to try 'em!
He actually did pretty damn good for a first hades attempt
1:57:16 You have no idea
