  1. To touch on the story aspect, I think the devs did a really good job understanding people will be doing several runs and not always get to the finish line, and planned to have narrative address that. So the little snippets the various gods and other characters say can continue to progress even if you arent beating runs all the time.

  2. Yeah, I've only played around 10 hours, but that was in one sitting because it hooks you around every corner. It's designed so well for a game in its genre to keep you coming back for another run for items or to see the next piece of lore. I was just looking for something to fill the void and it became the void. AAA games don't deserve to make a dollar let alone be nominated in the same category as this lovingly crafted world.

  3. Agree on that similar to dead cells gameplay. It is ultra responsive and damn satisfying. Haven't touched hades in a while so I got back into it and could not stop for a while. Got through the first boss on my second run, and to the second on there as well, and man that felt awesome.

  4. Hade is undeniably the best game of 2020 and even more, one of the best games ever created. Will it be announced as "Game of the Year"? No, because no video game news outlet is going to upset Sony fanboys and their mediocre Last of Us 2.

  5. It IS the game of the year. But most likely they will give the award to Cyberpunk cause people are in love with CDproject red, the same way they are with anything Rockstar does. Unless Cyberpunk is a mess or bugged as hell, there is no way Hades will get the GOTY, which is totally unfair to me, since it excells in absolutely every aspect of gaming.

  6. This is one of the few games I've played that might actually deserve a 10 out of 10 rating. I've never played rogue likes or rogue light games. Decided to give this game a shot and fifty hours later and getting the true ending; I don't know if this game is the one that's going to get me into this genre or ruin those other games for me forever

  7. This is my first ever roguelike and tbh I love this game so much that I want it to win goty 2020 instead of cyberpunk cuz this game and the devs deserve so much more and goty is the least we could do for them imo.

  8. WHOA. I'm freaking out with excitement. Hades got nominated for GOTY at The Game Awards!! And a bunch of other things too! Supergiant Games has more nominations than any other publisher in The Game Awards bar two (with one of those being tied).
