It's pretty ridiculous how the 5 fear from Abandon is actually harder by itself than a 32 fear run, or at least very close.
Yeah, Vow of Abandonment really doesn't feel fairly priced at 5 fear, does it?
Or maybe it's specifically synergy with the timer that's too punishing? Do you think the run would be doable at 52 fear (1 less level of Desperation)?
Maybe 1 less level of Dominance or Rebuke (enemy health/shields) instead?

I dont understand supergiants insistence of adding a vow or pact of punishment that removes all progress in the arcana cards/mirror. Wouldn't it make more sesne rather to actually instead of completely removing the upgrades why not decrease the levels. It would make it actually viable to pick up as a vow because to my knowledge even statically no one takes the vow/pact of punishment.

Maybe try this again with a good seed? So you can pick non-god keepsake for damage.

Man this does sound unfun. I don't particularly like difficulty based on removing things that would make the game more fun, like taking away your arcana cards. But I particularly don't do well with tight timers. Even the 9 minutes one in Hades 1 is already too much for me, I'd rather avoid them

I’m currently trying all fear on except 9 minute timer instead of 5 and no abandon, dude I got to Hecate with 0 time left in 50 fear😅
What do you think is more difficult: a clear on a first run, or a clear with vow of abandon on?
At least a vow of abandon run (no other fear) still allows you to use keepsakes and maxed out weapons. So perhaps the first run clear is harder?

vow of abandon should reduce your grasp instead of just turning the cards off entirely, maybe for +2 fear it cuts you to 20 grasp and then a second level +3 fear it drops you to 10 grasp, just enough for you to take Eternity and a morsel of reroll but basically nothing else
I think Vow of Abandon should be reworked in a future update. Any ideas? It should probably limit how much Grasp you can use at once, similar to how the Responsibility limiter in Transistor limits your MEM usage.

In regards to making it more fun doing streaming in voicechat can make grinding a lot less stressful and more relaxed, did that a few times when attempting unmodded 64 (never got it but had a fun time.)
