  1. played this local coop and player 2 and 3 kept getting "double procs" on the powers, way more than we were supposed to, then we got one in the shop and tried to buy a "free" power from the shop and it crashed. Haha. They definitely have some bugs to iron out with coop. That said it was way easier to play coop cause if you clear a room your allies revive.

  2. I played a few hours until I cleared a run. It's definitely fun, but there's one major problem with the design. Seemingly 100% of the core boons give you flat damage on hitting or stacks of DOT on hit. It's like Hades 2 with only Poseidon and Hestia as boons options. This means it's objectively better to just use everything that hits as rapidly as possible, making every run feel like you're going for the same build. Why ever go for anything that hits hard and slow when any added buff from a boon will be miniscule. Just always go for the rapid fire options. For example, shuriken storm throws 8 shurikens for like 20 damage each. But add 20 lightning, fire, water or whatever damage, with a boon, upgrade a couple times, and you can be throwing 10 or more shurikens for 60 or 70 damage each. It's busted.

  3. I've put around 20h on switch at the moment and I have a decent amount of meta progression unlocked. My biggest complaint is that each run is too random, there's almost no consistency. Some I can get multiple powers and breeze through everything and some runs I get like one power for an entire zone and be incredibly underpowered. And the artifacts are bugged and don't guarantee the next power to be what you need so it's very hard to plan for a build

  4. There are Duos (Legendaries) in this game BTW. You essentially need one tier 1 power and one tier 2 power for each type to get them, but like Hades they are specific, and they are REALLY powerful. This game has way more depth than you think, you just got to play a bunch of runs to find out. Hope you do a series on this cause I've been playing this nonstop since it came out on switch.

  5. I really feel it would have been a much better story if they went with the story that talks about the Last Turtle with the others dead and he has all their weapons. That would have been much better than making it a coop game.

  7. This game has a lot more depth than it seems and a lot more meta stuff. Haven't played local or online multiplayer yet but i will soon. The story might seem cheesy but there are a lot of conversations and interactions that give depth to the turtles more than any other games have done as of now. It's also inspired by the IDW comics which are a bit more dark in tone. The level up is not deep but it works and you do see a lot of progression as you play and spent more time. The visuals are very ok not perfect but it has quality. The gameplay is fun with duo powers and legendary stuff unlocking but it's harder to get them. Also this is coming on Steam and is slated for Q4. I will pick it up on PC as well to be honest since there will be more powerful stuff there. The enemies and power scaling is not perfect but with a decent build if you have experience with roguelites you will be fine. There's an easier mode for people that want more laidback approach and down the road harder stuff are appearing as options for anyone that wants more in depth upgrades and more outta the system. I love the game for what it is and i am hoping for a couple of patches to address anything that exists currently. Anyone wondering if u love Hades and TMNT or just TMNT get it. Anyone else it's a fun roguelike that will keep you for hours but for single player only stuff there's also other options in the genre. If anyone wants to play together hit me up here for co-op or in Haelian's discord server "unknownavenger" is my name there. COWABUNGA DUDES 🤘🏻

  9. I have about 30 hours into it on Switch. I love it but I also grew up a huge fan of TMNT. Each area only has one boss but they have multiple variations that unlock overtime except for Bebop and Rocksteady which only have the gauntlet variation. Each area has at least 4 mini bosses I think. After you beat it a couple of times a portal challenge system opens up that can greatly increase the rewards you earn. Also a gauntlet system opens up that makes mini bosses and bosses harder without taking the portals so yes you take the portals and the gauntlet challenges if you want the max difficulty and the max rewards. The portals also power up after so many are taken so I think there might be a story endgame when you take all portals on a run as it is hinted at.

If you don't mind spoilers you can check the computer in the hub and it will list all the boss versions and all the sub bosses. The enemy variety increases as you play the game but even in the end(I think I have every basic enemy unlocked now) every mob is going to be some version of Foot, Frog, Mouser or robot. There are actually some pretty cool foot clan unlocked later but I can see people still being disappointed by the enemy variety as there are still some villains from the source material that could have been bosses or mini bosses. Not a lot that could have basic enemies though besides the dimension x rock guys(might be more but I only watched the original cartoon).

My biggest gripe is that you can only play as the turtles as far as I know. Casey Jones, Splinter, Slash and Nobody would have been great unlocks for characters.
