  1. "Zags sis?"
    Yes… maybe? Half-sister/cousin
Melione is the daughter of Persephone and … ZEUS… sometimes treated as a two-sides/same-coin with hades but… Greek family trees are more of a wreath

  2. To break down some of the mythology for people:

The figure the main character is fighting at the start is 100% Hecate (pronounced HECK-uh-tee). She's the goddess of magic and witchcraft , which is why she is wearing the stereotypical witch hat. She is often portrayed carring two torches, which is what she was fighting with. She is also often portrayed as having 3 faces, which is referenced in the fact that her shoulder pauldrons have faces on them.

Cronos (or Kronos or Chronos) is the Titan of Time. The titans were the ones who controled the earth before the gods were born and took over the earth. Cronos was the king of the Titans, but there was a prophecy that his children would overthrow him. So, whenever his wife Rhea gace birth, he would eat his children. First was Hestia, then Demeter, Then Hera, then Hades, then Poseidon, and finally, Zeus. But Zeus' mother got fed up with Cronos eatong her children, so she actually tricked Cronos into eating a rock shaped like a baby, and his Zeus away. When Zeus grew up, he tricked his father into throwing up all his children (because they were gods, they were just trapped in him and couldn't die) and with their help, they chopped up their father to pieces and imprisoned him in Tartarus (again, because he couldn't ACTUALLY die).

The main character is Melinoe, a minor goddess associated with nightmares and madness, and child of Hades (or possibly Zeus?) and Persephone. Similarly to Zagreus, there isn't much known about her.

Pressumably, Cronos has escaped Tartarus and captured Hades, and our job will be to go down the opposite way Zag did and kill him, but because he is the Titan of time, he will likely reverse time every tine we kill him and we will have to start all over.

  3. The boon choices looks very reminiscent of the very early builds in Hades' Early Access. They used to have much more generic descriptions before they started to work on balance and get the numbers locked in.

  4. I'm guessing we get a new protagonist because Supergiant wanted to develop a new playstyle. You said it yourself, they like to reinvent the wheel. You can't really push this new Magick system on good old Zag, right?

  5. Actually i really think that their games kept getting better with time. Transistor and pyre was so good but also very unique which explains why they has worst sells imo.
When they came back with a rogue like obviously it had to be a huge succes
