As a Hades player, I admit usually he just dogs whoever he is against until team battles. Hades/Morrigan is very strong too.
Ya Hades just needs a whole new kit simple as that. Change all the close range stuff to actual mage abilities with range and there you go. But the way he is now is full close range meaning they needed to keep his procs(ult procs especially) and 2 to help keep him alive in melee range combat. Kinda like Zhong in a way both are tanky in their own right but its needed to actually get their damage out and have the possibility of living. I have always since his move from guardian, wanted to see him changed to a regular ranged mage.
Could keep his 1 as an escape that's fine, but now add in an ult that maybe is like a soul vortex that he can summon under opponents at a mid range and make it just do damage or less damage but cripples like a big pos 3. His 2 and three could be a combo ability that the player wants to hit to do max damage just like any other mage.
At the point of reworking his kit they would have to think of making him cookie cutter (like above) or completely new in which case it would take more work and time. Either way I am a Hades main and Ill play him any way hes made regardless if hes good or not.
Gods with only one way to play them are boring and bad for the game. Arachne and bakasura are like this too. I know exactly how they will play the second I see them. So boring
What if instead of him gaining defense with his ult, he can throw his alt to another area and gains no defenses. He would still be rooted as a way to counter balance the ult while casting it but no defenses, and it becomes slow kill confirm ult, or just a CC ult still that he can throw out for his team rather then having to dive in for it. Maybe even make the circle a little smaller. Idk how to change the 3. Maybe just take away the healing of minions? Maybe just make a damaging ability? Idk. At least he would still have his kit mostly and not be too boring to fight or too broken/useless (however you look at him).
I still am of the opinion Hades deserves a full rework (while they're at it redesign him too, I'm tired of having generic WOW necromancer Hades when his brothers are pretty spot on representations of the actual Gods), ideally into a warrior and give him his signature Bident

I only play guard Hades (dipping into warrior if the meta dictates) and I NEED to apply blight off of basics. All this dmg talk I do not Care about as I usually only get one dmg item eaCh matCh.

As a ah Puch solo main in diamond who obv knows way less about the game then u, I am able to explode wave in 1 burst so I can out clear hades and just ult his ult :>
Hades is cool; but I think this video overhypes him.
His 3 only does massive damage when minions are nearby. No minions and this ability really doesn’t do anything.
I like the idea of creating minions off his 1 or 2 similar to Cerberus. He is the god of the Underworld. Call up some souls to fight for him.

Early game is irrelevant. You can get farmed all game long. Laning phase and Mid game. Late game is the only thing that matters in smite. Unless you and your teammates have an extremely sensitive ego and weak mentals. "Oh I've been ganked 4 times, better sit in base until my team agrees to surrender" If that's your mindset, it's why you're bad at the game and will ALWAYS be bad at the game.

I believe hi rez has been doing the type of design you suggest and it honestly ruins the game little by little. A character should have clear strenghts and clear weaknesses. For example, the scylla buff that she recently recieved makes her from a character that shouldnt have preassure at all but a monster late game to a decent early game goddess with a monster late game. Thats what i like about Hades, he is THE lane bully, but he lacks in teamfights outside the ult. If hades would have a weaker early game and also a stranger late game he would be more generic and, for that, less fun. I really think that the way to go with god buffs is to make their strong parts strong enough so they are appealing to sacrifice their weaknesses. I dont want kali to have a better mid game, i want her late game to be so dangerous that it is worth to sacrifice preassure. I dont want scylla to clear AND burst late, i want her to HURT LIKE A TRUCK but need to passively farm for 20 minutes. This things give characters uniqueness.
Just rework .. thats all he need.. he is supposely god of afterlife yet his kit doesnt reflect that much… nothing about river of nile or whatsoever..
HiRez could make ult similar to Mordekaiser from LoL but with diff style..
Low skill easy counter gods are essential to the foundation of smite, new players get an easy god to learn on, and seasoned players know how to shut the god down preventing them from running over lobbies at higher ranks. Eventually you play new gods that aren’t as easy to shut down. Just don’t let them be meta or worst possible picks, and just let some gods be tailored to the casual/learners playing arena or joust.
As a hades Main with 20 stars and was a gm for 1 split. Yes he’s easy to play but he’s also very easy to counter. Half the gods in the game can dash out of his ult. Just learn how to lane against him, don’t stand in wave. Build anti heal and focus him in team fights and he becomes useless
Hades is broken. I was in a game against a solo hades the other day in which I built 3 anti healing items and tainted steel and all of my teammates built anti heal and yet the hades still absolutely demolished us. I think our teams highest damage was something like 20k while the hades was at 70k. I even built ankh for his ults but it just didn't matter at all. Hades ruins the game

Hades has plenty of easily accessible counter-play available. He’s fine, doesn’t need a rework, and is plenty fun to play and have played against.

As someone that plays hades i could poke so many holes in this entire video but frankly i don't think i need to because anybody that plays hades would know any argument i would make. Still entertaining though even if most of it feels like you had 1 bad match against a hates and now you want him nerfed. I will say though i'm getting really tired of people complaining about hades ult being tanky. He is so tanky because he can't dodge. Chaac can move, hades can't. You can't miss any damage on him unless you are stupid. Chaac can still juke while ulting.
Bring back melee hades

You didnt even mention how his 2 doesnt work properly. Instead of the fear making someone run away from him it sometimes just spins their camera around and has them run in a random direction, which is usually right at the hades. Its disorienting as hell.
i think they should add some sort of burst damage on the ult if targets are blighted, and also they should remove most of the prots that hades ult gives him so that you can use it more as instant burst and not be reliant on using the whole ult, and then also if you do decide to use the full duration then you are way less safe because you don't have as much prots
Reduce his ults base damage and give it a cripple so the gods that have jumps need to use beads if they want to just get out for free, but it is overall less punishing when beads isn't up. I feel it is incredibly frustrating when a characters 12 second cooldown ability 100% counters an ultimate. Remove the 10% mitigation and reduce protections slightly in exchange for block stacks equal to the gods hit by the ults initial damage so that he is rewarded for big ults, but can still be focused down by the whole team if they coordinate.

Hades to me finally feels good. He does force anti heal play but thats pretty typical for smite hes slow with large damage numbers but still very killable imo but if your god cannot counter hades you are pretty fucked but you can say that about a lot of gods especially mid laners imo

My first main back in the beta, back when he was rightfully a Guardian
Mages start with like 32 protection at level 1 and gain 1 or so per level. So another math video with math and info being wrong? Example Discordia: she starts with 38 magic protection and gains 1.2 per level making her defense at 20 be 62. In the gameplay hades has no magic protection built and has 62 base magic protections at 20. his ult does not do basically true damage. So your calcs are again off. Pillar also only removes protections if blighted beforehand. Let's assume they are and its max level. damage would be per tick: (100*(105+.3MP))/(61-30+100) I'll use the magic power of 653 with 2 stacks of bancrofts at the time of the hades build before fire giant as the damage base here. I will also be using Nu wa mitigations at level 19. (same scaling and base as discordia) meaning each tick does 229.69 damage vs 300.9 "true damage" or about 23.7% mitigation. Strong as all hell still but more wrong math based off of wrong information. Now this obviously doesn't account for other protection reductions etc to damage but again check information before posting.

It depends what god you are playing because Hades doesnt have range abilitie except his 1 so everyone who is focused at range attacks example izanami is a good counter against him and it depends what mode you are playing, I do enjoy playing as Hades
i def wouldn't say Hades is dogshit in a team fight mans can turn the tides very easily.
this is all not even including his 2 second silence and his crazy cooldown reduction on his ult, as well as the power reduction his passive applies. So much random stuff on this god
I really doubt they'll do a significant rework after giving him a recent tier 5 skin. Probably just adjust numbers and change ability effects if need be.
