Cold fusion reminds me of Infinite Jest, every time.
This build would have gone absolutely nuts with privileged status… Aphro + Demeter is the easiest and most potent status combo to run from my experience.
I think my first 32 heat run was with Rama Bow where i think I mostly spammed Zeus special.
The one aftrr that, I think, was Arthur sword
EDIT:
I was way wrong it seems. My first 32 heat clear was with Hestia rail, albeit with Zeus attack as the core of the build, with some poseidon and Athena on the side (and some Ares as a treat)
Second 32 heat clear was Zeus Rama with just a bunch of Zeus and some Artemis and Dionysus as support.
Third was Hades spear using a merciful end build.
Fourth was Artemis cast + poseidon special poseidon sword.
Then there was a fifth clear with Hestia again bwcause I forgot I had done 32 heat with Rail already (I had stopped playing hades for about a year I think and got inspired to play again when youtube brought Haelian back into my recommended feed).
6th was merciful end fists. Incredibly lucky merciful end build where I had athena dash with doom attack by third asphodel chamber.
7th was Beowulf shield with trippy flare and charged shot hammer
Where were you collecting first 32 heat clears if I may know? Because I did it with Guan Yu and on EM4.
Lol poor Bally.
Can't believe I fell for the clickbait. Of course I would have watched this anyways, but still.
my first ever 32heat clear was zag shield (explosive return+dread flight hammer) with zeus slapped on the special (jolted being the main damage),, idk man, something about clearing enemy across the arena without even seeing them onscreen just feel mildly satisfying,, i even managed to beat thanatos 0kill several times with this, just standing throwing sht,,
however when it come to bosses, it went from haha boomerang funny to hot flippin garbage unless you have some duo that work or whatever,, even then its still deal close to no damage,,
and mind you that for some reason i just refuse to turn down em4 nor fo40%, looking back i can only imagine how silly it is 😹😹😹
My first 32 heat was with guan yu, where I got athena on the attack, quick spin, and massive spin. Plus 30% attack speed from Hermes, though I don't know if that actually helped. There's the Guan Yu aspect accounted for, and I think there's at least one person for the rest. Probably dozens or hundreds.
Literally got my first 32H today haha, Arthur, Aphro attack, blinding flash, priv status and chaos ambush
Is there a way to submit my first 32 heat to you so I can help with data? I onli did it a few weeks ago, and it was an eris zeus build so probably not that intresting but Im intrested in the results and want to help.
i like dire misfortune on it. very fun
I miss your thumbnails from 2 years ago where it's you, smiling awkwardly at the camera with bad lighting, and Hades in the back.
Great video showing a different and interesting play strategy for a weaker weapon aspect. I’m guessing that this strategy would work even better on Demeter fists which would also give you the special boost?
Hey Friend and Lover, my love for you doesnt even a boon on it. We shackled for you mi amor. I'd take a big bonking and still have the juicy love for you. Lmao
I FINALLY beat 32 heat last night and I will thank my religious watching of these videos in the background as I play
Did anyone else play Chaos Shield with Aphro attack for beefy bull rushes and Doom stacking on the special for their first 32 heat?
Haelian, what's up!? Have you ever done a sword of Poseidon run with exit wounds? It's the only way I've been able to make that weapon feel really broken.
Have you tried these programs that show your controller inputs on screen ? I'm trying to learn from your videos but you're so quick it's hard to understand what the hell is going on lmao
The shield is just an insane weapon i love it to death
My first 32 heat win just last night was using beowulf! Went for poseidon cast (ended up only lvl 4), artemis attack and mirage shot. I got lucky with rush delivery + hyper sprint + ferocious guard (other was breaching rush, hammers maybe werent ideal but the synergy with rush deliv worked out pretty well). Also got fortunate with Athena dash, and Zeus call with jolted and billowing strength. Combined with extra cast from chaos, and hourglass keepsake to extend braid and prometheus through EM4, which really made up for unlucky poms for the cast. I had enough time to grab an extra room or two and boons from the shop in Styx, which was primarily jolted and the extra damage from using the call.
For the pact, I went for 1x lasting conseq, EM4, maxed benefits package, mid mgmt, underworld customs, forced ot, and tight deadline.
My previous best heat was 21 with bow or fists. I practiced quite a bit moving faster through rooms with TD, getting used to FO and UC, and kind of just sent it with EM4. Learning and practicing aspects of speedrun strats between initial attempts and this win attempt is really what made the difference.
As for pact selection, a few other 32 heat attempts I had tried with varying combos of EM3, approval process, HL, LC, CE, and JS. Those were okay, but I definitely struggled getting a decent build. With AP it felt like the game was always denying me the build I was trying to go for, whether hammer, boon, or in most cases both lol. Honestly balancing all those factors was pretty daunting, ie; lowered health while potentially taking additional damage; the ability to deal relevant damage to more numerous and powerful enemies due to decreased/awful/useless boon selection and requirement to sell, which coincidentally often resulted in wasted early rolls, which is also generally unhelpful and/or downright gg try again if the rng gods or purge wells decide to pull on over on ya; more expensive Charon items that are often necessary to make up for the previously listed penalties, which could easily lead to problems, harder choices, or the complete inability to make purchases regarding refilling/increasing health, buying poms for powerup, additional boons for build or selling, or DDs to keep up hope. Again, watching these vids and reading speedrun guides is really what allowed me to succeed, and what compelled me toward the pact I chose. The more simple builds that don't require many boons/hammers to get going, and are high enough damage to keep up with TD is pretty clutch.
On the topic of advice for beginners, recently being one myself… striking a balance between learning about the game from experience and watching vids or reading guides is maybe the most important choice when I reflect on my Hades journey lol. At least, i think i wouldve saved myself a lot of headaches had I resorted to detailed guidance early on. So if someone doesn't care about spoiling the game, I'd highly recommend doing a bunch of research, Haelians vids for example ❤ Wanting to learn by experience is generally great too, but for me at least the consequence was a pretty heavy time investment (which is perhaps an intentional aspect of the game design), a decent amount of mistakes, and general frustration relating to lack of understanding how the game works on a more detailed level. I suppose if you're an expert at this kind of game, or some sort of video game savant who just picks up on things maybe this is a non issue. This unguided time may be where my primary critiques of Hades originate, generally regarding the UI and communication of the game's mechanics. For the longest time I didnt even realize there were 2 options for each row of mirror items, or that you could attempt heats above your current recommended level 😆 And to be fair to the game, I learned enough by myself how to be decently competent at the game in a reasonable time frame from my estimation. Although without all the stats it's hard to say for sure. My first win was around 21 attempts. I had 10 wins around double that, 42 attempts or so. Made it to 50% win ratio around 85-90 attempts, which is about when I started watching content and learning about how much I had not realized or learned on my own. Getting into mid to high teen heats is when my lack of knowledge really started emerging. Without video/guides, speedrun stuff, I highly doubt I could have endured to even attempt 32. But I will say that for all my criticisms of the game, I found the story quite good and it was enough to keep me interested and motivated enough to get to a point where I started staying for the punishment and challenge of higher heat. How much more will I play from here? Hard to say, but a good journey, greatly improved by this Haelian guys content 😋
Did my second 32 cear with posidon sword crystal beams, first I got 98.somthing dodge with zag fist
