Hera boons: PEACOCK SCREECH
Amazing video as always! One thing boggled my mind though, did they "quietly" change the Dying Wish visual effect? There used to be like red-blood-splashy stuff every time Dying Wish activated.. I checked the accessibility settings and there doesn't seem to be an option to turn off blood-like effects. I can see that it activates because the damage is clearly there, just not the visual effect.
Mel skulls definitely feels like it needs a change. Maybe you get more skulls along with the extra damage for firing in a row? Maybe they fly back to you as a property of the Aspect? Something to make them more viable and less of a chore. I like the number of good, powerful hammers that work with them, and I don't mind collecting skulls, but it's just painful with all the Fear mechanics added.
For some trivia:
Chronos wields his gigantic scythe, Hrodreptus, as a gift from his mother Gaia and a sign of his previous domain as God of the Harvest (the God of Time Kronos and the God of the Harvest Chronos were originally two distinct figures, but became conflated extremely quickly even during the Classical Era because of their extremely similar names). Demeter comments on this in-game, saying that despite him wielding a scythe she's the one who knows how to use it for its intended purpose, which alludes to how she and Persephone replaced him in this domain in later generations of Greeks. Originally, Chronos used this scythe both for reaping and also to castrate his own father, Uranus (or Oranos, if you're Roman or playing Age of Mythology). This is an absolutely atrocious pun on using scythes to reap seeds in harvest, so bravo, Greeks. Gaia had Chronos lead the Titans to overthrow his father because Uranus imprisoned his siblings the Cyclopes and the Hecatoncheires (hundred-armed giants who almost never appear in adaptations because they're so hard to draw) in Tartarus for being deformed disappointments. This makes Zeus' rebellion against Chronos a cyclical revolution, something the game has yet to comment on but I look forward to hearing more about when we see more of Olympus.
Tbh you're very underrated, you're voiceovers feel fun but not boring. Your videos are like the perfect length so that I don't want to skip parts. I hope your channel sees exponential growth because you deserve it
can you please explain the "menu room" thing. how is it worse than the reward you pick from the ground.
and also I didn't understand why you skipped chaos early. I thought it's a good time save, but you sre saying it could mess up the rewards. how so?
