nice
As an indie game dev, I can tell you sometimes developers intentionally make the game pause briefly (drop a frame or two) on attacks they want to feel particularly impactful. That may be what's going on here. It's one of many strategies employed, such as screenshake or big particle effects, to make the game feel "juicier". Personally, I don't love it in the context of a spammable attack like this one, though.
I modded the game once and buffed the hell out of those, my game did not survive
Aphro charm really worked well this run, neutralized plenty of enemy atks
you know what would be a dumb but dumb but funny for lore reasons challenge? Get weak and Unhealthy Fixation charm on a low damage attack like the rail shot, and then turn the minotaur against Theseus like he's constantly worried you will.
This combo with demeter and the boon that slows poisoned foes would make the game really slow
Alternative title: Dan gains aspect of cronos and slows down the enemies
I started a new Hades file (after beating normal and Hell mode years ago) and trying out more silly stuff. I gotta say: the Aphrodite legendary is no joke. Against Hades, his attacks get interrupted SO often by quick sources of charm. It makes Aphro's dash almost good!! But I really wish Charm had a visual timer so it wasn't so easy to get thrown off by weird enemy behaviors. Sometimes you get hit just from not knowing how attacks play out.
Omg I thought I was crazy! I did this build yesterday with pierced butterfly and was fuming because I struggled to dodge properly everytime the game "dropped frames"
Dan, I think the Zombie Survival Guide you're thinking of is the one from Max Brooks, who also wrote World War Z. The zombie guide recommends forting up in a school or prison. It also recommends avoiding hospitals as that is the most likely place for an outbreak to start.
If you want to see the game lag put Poseidon on the special next time.
I played a phone game called flow free, it was just connecting multicolored lines without crossing the colors on a grid but for some reason I saw that game in my dreams a lot when I was playing
Offroad Bicycle for a zombie outbreak is probably the best decision. Gas goes bad in three to six months, during the initial panic everyone is going to flood to gas stations, roads are traffic deathtraps, and cars can't maneuver very well around obstacles. A good bike can go almost anywhere, can fit through pretty tight spaces, can be repaired with supplies you can carry, requires no gas, and less people are going to go for them.
