  1. its heavily implied in the binding of isaac that isaac is dead, so the reason why you replay the game could be because you are in an afterlife of some sort or something like that

  2. Most rogue-likes actually do have a story and conclusion, even stuff like Binding of Isaac though its 'plot' is deliberately very obtuse. Just very few of them manage to contextualize the gameplay and each individual run as well as Hades; few make the story and characters as entertaining. Even the worst runs in Hades still feel like you're progressing while runs in games like Isaac/Enter the Gungeon/Darkest Dungeon/etc can often feel like a waste of time if you get bad RNG or die early for example.

  3. If you guys like supergiant stuff, I would love to see a video on Pyre. Maybe it wouldn't be the best for a single video format, considering the game is quite long and focused on story, but Pyre is probably the best supergiant game, story wise anyway. Would love to see that Pyre get some more attention.

  4. I'd be very curious to see you guys play one of the many time loop games that released in the past few months: Twelve Minutes, The Forgotten City, Deathloop, and Outer Wilds (DLC just released).

Twelve Minutes has a LOT of discourse around its terrible ending, Forgotten City has an interesting backstory (started out as an award-winning Skyrim mod), Deathloop has received just as much acclaim as Arkane Studios' other fantastic games (Dishonored & Prey), and Outer Wilds is considered by many to be one of the best games of the last decade and possibly of all time.

  5. They Are Billions from a few years ago is an excellently designed, highly stressful RTS against up to tens of thousands of zombies in a single scenario. It's unforgivingly hard, with some shite design choices on some types of levels, but the main way to play is rewarding to learn and a blast to play.

  6. Imo my least favourite thing about hades is the progression system and how balanced everything feels, I love games like the binding of isaac or nuclear throne where 100 runs in and 1 run in its the same difficulty, and you just get better as a player.
