Why Hades is a Narrative Masterpiece

What this game does with embedded and enacted narrative, ludonarrative harmony, and the player-avatar relationship is awe-inspiring; it’s a shining example not only for the rogue-like/rogue-lite genre, but for all games to come.

I also wanted to note that, while One Step from Eden gets the short end of the stick in this video, I do love the game! The gameplay is fantastically fun, but unfortunately, it’s no Hades–that’s simply how it is.

  1. I really like your perspective on hades unique way of integrating story with game play. I just wished the pacing of the video was slowed down by 10-15%. Idk may be I'm just slow.

Anyways I would love if you could cover another indie game like Celeste.
