Had this one for a while, and finally have incentive to speak on it. This game is a masterpiece and an unruly showcase of skill, tact, art and fun put on display by a developer most people probably haven’t heard of, atleast until 2020 came around.
These devs should’ve swept the GOTY awards the same way Elden Ring did, while some of the other releases in 2020 were solid games (another will actually get a video next week) not a single one did anything in terms of setting a new standard. Since Hades, tell me, what roguelike has been able to be as consistent and veritably enjoyable while accomplishing the same things? Maybe Dead Cells, and again STS is definitely a really good game, but Hades leaves such an imprint its hard to look at other titles within the genre and feel as fascinated.
Absolutely astounding work, and I’m sure Hades 2 will be great, which happens to be slated for release this year.

I already played Hades back then and I totally agree with you. The game is really good. It has sick music, gorgeous Artstyle and by far the best gameplay and rogue-like experience. PLUS the dialogs are really interesting and fun to listen to. Which is really rare by rogue-likes and the Voices are so well chosen.
three years later its still one of the best if not THE BEST rogue-like out there.
Cant wait for the sequel.
I completly aree if it wasn't for the fact that there are far too little weapons and stages biodiversity, i hope it will all be fixed in the sequel
I’ve never really played a game like this, but I’d definitely be open to trying it out after watching this. Definitely a cool concept and looks like great action.
I gravitate to this game type, thanks this'll be A#1 on my new build when ready. This and A.O.E.2
Good Sir, have you played Dead Cells? It. Is. Fun!
