Why do you not use your companion summons or rolls?

for some reason I've only used Guan yu for my spear, and in the 10 ish heat or so I've worked out quick spin is a lifesaver. And if your heals are on the spin, it's even more important to keep going. Great vid as always tho keep it up!
What is your personal preference with Guan Yu? If you weren't taking suggestions or doing a challenge run, what do you put on attack and special?
i eventually decided the best build for guan yu is merciful end…. u cant get charge and chain skewer every single time, so putting doom on the special is imo the most consistent way to get higher dmg

Aaah, the good old bone hourglass effective for both Elysion and Styx ! I love that trick !
Also, a good spin build is always at its best in Styx. My favorite is fast and big spin, and then, you're nearly invincible, making the most challenging part of the game looking like a children's playground.

I like Achilles or Hades more than Guan Yu, but I can see now how Guan Yu can get good.
I just imagined: What if the exclusive hammer for Guan Yu made the spin attack home in on things? Hunting Serpent, you could call it, or something like that.
I find the spin gets you hit as often as it gets you health. Lack of range and duration means you have to deploy it in threat range of enemies.
Stygian soul+ crystal beam or blade rift can carry every weapon and weapon aspect except Beowulf. They have boons that make the casts lasts longer which makes it really op on Stygian
