  1. i like the design shift. Hades 1 Artemis is cornered in Olympus, tense and trapped with a bunch of people she hates, and stuck talking to, not too fine a point, a dude. now she is in her element, doing what she loves, with familial support, and no dudes in sight. Everything's coming up goddess of the hunt.

  2. Ah yes, "I keep running out of mana, therefore I will not take any of the mana-providing boons the game has been offering to me, but will invest more in mana-consuming dashes". It really takes a while to grasp the mana economy in Hades 2 and how much it matters compared to how simple casts were in Hades 1

  3. I like what they’re doing with Artemis here.

Associating her with Hecate, Melinoë, and Selene in a sort of sworn-sisters capacity makes me think of the Romans’ interpretation of her as Diana. Diana had a lot of similarities to the Greek version of Artemis, but she also had a triple-goddess nature, and was close to magical and dark beings like Hecate and Nyx. Giving Artemis a secret sisterhood with a triple goddess, the princess of the underworld, and the Moon herself, makes for a really neat wrinkle to her character.

Plus, her interactions with Melinoë are just neat.

  4. I'm so glad they changed how resource gathering works in a recent patch. It sucked when you picked the wrong tool for a run and walked past a dozen inaccessible pickups.
