I didn't get the appeal either until I put Ice Wine Trippy Shot on Hera and started one shotting things in Elysium, through armor. Hera with good gettup can dish out upwards of 2000 damage per shot and it doesn't even need to be upgraded to full as an aspect to be good.
And so, this ride comes to a close for now. It was a very fun watch all the way through, and I'm very much looking forward to it maybe, someday coming back, there's still so many more builds and mechanics you haven't yet seen, but, it's a good ending point to leave on.
Hera bow really benefits the casts that are awkward to use or have huge downside. So dionynus(on controller) and aphrodite(short ranged but high dmg) are the big two. Also you can stack multiple casts onto 1 shot for huge burst dmg.
You have buy Extreme Measures 4 from the House Contractor, according to the wiki:
"Extreme Measures Level 4 (Extremer Measures) can only be purchased from the House Contractor after the main game is completed and the Final Boss is fought once after that."
Sounds like you'd need at least one more run after this one to unlock it, I'm going to secretly hope there's some way that can work out, but if not I get it. You could always do a run "off camera" to get it unlocked, which would likely go much quicker than recording an episode would be.
Aspect of Hera's thing is that you can get a ton of burst damage with it since you're getting the damage of the shot, plus the damage of the loaded cast(s).
Trying to imagine Zeus "cheering up" Demeter over the missing daughter thing, and… honestly surprised Greece is just snowy, not underneath a glacier… ๐
Aspect of Hera counts as multiple hits. You can load all your casts at once, one-shot an armored enemy, and then immediately pick up the casts and repeat. You don't have to wait for the casts to drop if the enemy comically explodes.
So happy that you at least finished this ending, I am still working on the second one but am also on a hiatus. Great game, but now I don't feel compelled to rush to an end since I've already gotten a really good one here. Though that Pom upgrade is VERY useful!!!
This is just the best roguelike. I don't think we will ever have something quite like it, even from Supergiant. I hope to someday see its return to the channel!
Yeah developing the relationships with characters is needed to finish post game story and the side quests stories(like the reunion or achilles and patraclus) The spear youre holding is Hade's not Zag's. Tho Zag can turn his into a version that looks similar to Hades(cause is the aspect of hades)
Didn't understand what the problem was with understanding how Hera's bow works. The cast builds into your bow, so both your attack and cast combine each other and you deal insane amount of damage per hit and it's fun, instead of doing damage separately. The more casts you can load into your bow, (you can start with 3 base casts using the mirror but you can increase the # of casts on the run through Chaos, Hermes and Artemis legendary) the bigger the damage per shot will be.
I was a little disappointed too when I reached Hades on the 10th run and didn't get to fight. Turns out you should have used all your money to buy the titans blood from the shop instead of the boons/poms! But I'm glad you made it this far! I wouldn't mind seeing more but I know how much time this game takes up so I definitely understand if you decide to never get back to it. It's been a good series either way. ๐
If you do come back to this game, here a few tips. You cannot get the Saytr sack on the first tunnel, so if you save the skull doors til 2nd choice onward you may get get a skull reward with the sack instead of a guaranteed boss fight. Also, try out more of the keepsakes. Some of them are really useful! Control over the boons is nice and all, but others can be just as good if not better. Like, for example, taking the Chaos egg to remove the health cost to visit them (since you've been trying to get those last few fated choices anyway)
this is just the first 'ending

Huge missed opportunity to NOT take the +2 Bloodstones mirror talent when picking this weapon.

To future games!

Hey I am glad you enjoyed it and hope to see the true ending soon.

Aww man. Ya know what's rarer than surface fish? Fish in Chaos's void. You got the option for a lure in a room with a Chaos gate.

CHEER
I'm so happy you finally got around to trying out a Poseidon dash build. It's unfortunately pretty weak against Hades, but, well…

Pretty effective, useful and very fun.
