  1. Greek mythology is a vast bauracracy, everything has a god or goddess associated with it, the night has Nyx, the Moon Selene.
The domain of death probably has it the wost, with Thanatos ending live, Moros observing the doom, Hermes transporting their souls to the Underworld, Charon taking them across the Styx, where the Three Judges decide where they'll be sorted, with Hades ruling the whole place.
Its any wonder he was always busy with paperwork.

  2. Wait, Apollo is the God of the Light, but they keep Selene in as the Goddess of the Moon, technically Helios and Selene were the gods of the sun and the moon, but then appear Apollo and Artemis, Apollo take Helios place more and less, in some tales he care him in his chariot across the sky.

  3. Odysseus is a human who was trained by Athena. He is not a god hence why he is so formal and respectful with you always referring to you as Goddess. Mortals who are disrespectful to gods don't live long not even famous ones.

  4. You know, for almost every enemy except bosses, if they have no armor, they'll get interrupted by every hit. So there's no need to keep dashing when there's only one enemy or if you can hit all enemies at once and none have a yellow life bar; they'll be stunned and can't retaliate, so it's safest to just lay into them. Pretty sure it is the same in Hades 1.

  5. The images for Charon and Narcissus are placeholder portraits. They'll have actual portraits in the full release. The fact that Narcissus's portrait is a placeholder is very funny though.

  6. By the way, the way those Arcana cards that cost 0 Grasp work is that they automatically activate if you meet their Awakening condition. In the case of the one you unlocked, it only activates if you already have cards activated from 1 to 5 Grasp (so at least one of each costs: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5).

  7. After doing everything there is to do in the EA so far (and there is a lot), I think ultimately I would recommend waiting for full release, especially when it comes to stuff like the story, dialogue and the codex and stuff, since the EA is mostly for things on the gameplay and balancing side.

  8. Nyx has a goofy amount of kids, just to make it easier to tell who's siblings, here's the ones that appear in this series: Hypnos (sleep), Charon (can't actually find a source on this one, but the game considers it canon), Thanatos ((typically) peaceful death), Nemesis (revenge), Eris (strife), Moros (doom), the Fates (self-explanatory). Typically depicted in Hades as pale gray-skinned.

  9. Yeah the hexes in general aren't the greatest haha unless you are lucky and get some super specific path of stars to build into it. Two hexes in particular are broken the rest ehhh.

  10. Odysseus is/was mortal, and like Achilles in the first game, a hero of the Trojan War. Also the main character in Homer's The Odyssey, which is a really fun story of just how bad things can get when you piss off Poseidon xD

Scylla is actually one of the monsters he encounters in that tale, if I'm not wrong. I keep hoping Mel will mention him when fighting her!

  11. Don't underestimate how good the binding circle is! You should try to dodge into foes and drop it down even if you don't use the omega for damage. It's like placing a wall down and is super helpful when you have a lot of guys chasing you at once. And then the omega can destroy all of the ones that get caught in it.

  12. Welonz, you are getting hit alot because you are afraid of getting in but, in a attempt to do it "just a little", end up too far to hit your attacks and too close to avoid damage. Remember how your moves stagger non-armored foes out of their attacks. This is how you caused so much damage so fast in the first game using your meelee weapons

  13. Using cast helps a lot in dealing with faster melee enemies. You can constrain them in place which makes it so much easier to fight them. Not to mention omega cast kills most enemies in one hit early on. It’s a really useful tool.

  14. Apollo is a very popular God and his domain has balloned through the ages, but he is the God of Light, Reason, Music, Healing, Archery and Prophecy (the Oracle at Delphi was dedicated to Apollo).
