  1. I think a good boss idea for Hades 2 would be Scylla. She could make for a great multiheaded monster boss in a very similar vibe to Lerny, plus I imagine that if you're playing on a higher heat, you could also face Charybdis at the same time, perhaps having to avoid the middle of the arena as a whirlpool starts sucking in water.

  2. After you get all the 1 god runs done (and maybe 1 god runs for the modded gods like Apollo and hestia) i would like to see a hammer only run where your non chaos/hermes boons are replaced with hammers or anvils.

  3. Absolute pipe dream mod would be a randomizer. Entirely random rooms, so you could get a tartarus room in Styx per say. Or random enemies, so room one you fight Tiny or something. I know this would be a really hard ask so this is just a dream for now

  4. In response to the Unity engine fiasco, Cult of the Lamb developers tweeted out that they'll be deleting the game the day before the new pricing model comes out. Better buy it now, even if it's clearly a joke.

  5. LightningPerfect is probably the Reflex boon, and the lower percent lightning strikes were probably Vengeance and maybe Lightning Flourish?

Also I waited to see if you’d skip Zeus at the end before mentioning the call boons haha

  6. The Unity thing is as if i wrote a book series and Microsoft decided to charge me 10 cents per book sold just because i wrote it on their free software. I'm pretty sure you can't demand a cut of previous earnings if you provided free software for the production.

  7. I can't help but notice that in every video : why is Persephone's keepsake the only keepsake without that little doodle at the top ?? 🥺 You decided she didn't deserve that last bottle of Ambrosia ?

  8. No man is an island,
    Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
    A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
    Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thine own
    Or of thine friend's were.
    Each man's death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
    Therefore, send not to know
    For whom the bell tolls,
    It tolls for thee.

  9. Mod idea: "The Equalizer": Everything has equal chance of showing up as room rewards throughout the whole run. Nothing is kept track of, nothing has limits, no God pool. Get 7 hammers one run, 20 shops and no gold the next, etc…

  10. The biggest thing that I want for Hades 2 is to have more possible bosses at the end of the floors. Instead of always fighting a Fury at the end of floor 1 for instance, you would fight one of half a dozen bosses. I really like that in Binding of Isaac, and would love to see more games do the same

  11. the bell sound for than is a reference to the "death knell" or "funeral toll" of church bells during funerals in western culture. im sure other cultures throughout history have and still do use bells in their funeral ceremonies. hemingway was a prick but he wrote a pretty decent novel y'all might've heard of that has to do with bells tolling and whatnot.

  12. I just had a really nice zues run today with poseidon's cast and the ares pulses with the lightning from knockaway boon and regular zues legendary. I also had poseidon attack and I think double strike and aoe strike. sadly a bad styx put me too low to clear dad, he literally had 1 hit left on him when his backswing on spin got me. I was so sad because I was so exhausted by that point, having 6 dashes using enkidu with a rare greatest reflex. I dont even know if I could have physically dashed out of that last hit.

  13. The only reference I know about funeral bells is from Kung Fu Hustle. Which is a great movie if haven't seen it. But yeah, I guess that's Hong Kong culture.
I also know a bit about people being buried with a bell attached to them on the surface in case they were accidentally buried alive.

  14. The part about using a percentage revenue share would make sense to simplify, but the goal seemingly isn't to fuck over indies. It's actually aiming for various cheap mobile games that likely have much more profitable (for Unity) revenue:install ratios, compared to indies that sell for much more usually, therefore have higher revenues, and so their installs will only reach the threshold once they've made really big revenue, comparatively speaking. As a reminder, both revenue and install thresholds need to be met in order for this share to kick in.

  15. Just so you know the death bell comes from Scottish folk tradition where they would ring the bell to scare away evil spirits and stop them from possessing dead bodies

  16. I almost beat 22 heat with all the options on the heat gauge with Eris with no duo or legendary boons. I just had hazard bombs and a Zeus attack. If I had hit Hades one more time, I would have won.

  17. So, this is how the money from boons and poms are calculated(I think). By default they're 100, but they'll give you an additional (chamber number) times 5. So if you're in chamber 25 and get money from a boon/pom, you'll get 100+125 which is 225

  18. Church bells called people to religious services because it carried a long distance and that was one of the best ways to broadcast a message before electricity.

Sunday services were expected, but I’m guessing church bells on other days could indicate funerals and their start times (because watches and clocks were much more expensive).

“Do not ask for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee” for no man is an island and any death is everyone’s loss.

  19. It could be cool to see a speed run where you have a fully-outfitted custom build from the start. Maybe with some funky conditions to prevent the obvious over-powered builds from being available. Like, what’s the fastest time you can get with Arthur or Hades spear if you get to customize the load out from the get go?
